Whispers of the Enchanted Grove

Wondrous Item (Amulet), rare (requires attunement)

This delicate amulet is crafted from interwoven vines and adorned with shimmering leaves that glisten softly in the light. While wearing the amulet, you gain the ability to commune with the spirits of nature, granting you a unique set of abilities that can aid you in your adventures.

Once per day, you can speak to the flora and fauna within a 60-foot radius. This allows you to cast Speak with Animals and Speak with Plants without expending a spell slot. Additionally, the amulet enhances your natural affinity with the environment, granting you advantage on Wisdom (Animal Handling) and Intelligence (Nature) checks.

Once per long rest, you can invoke the amulet’s enchanting power to summon a protective barrier of ethereal vines. As an action, you create a 15-foot radius area centered on yourself for up to 1 minute. While within this area, you and your allies gain a +2 bonus to AC, and any enemy that starts its turn within the vines takes 1d6 poison damage as the plants lash out. The barrier can be dismissed as a bonus action.

Moreover, the amulet allows you to harness the power of the forest. When you are in a natural environment, you can use the amulet to call for reinforcements. This summons a single creature of your choice from the Conjure Animals or Conjure Woodland Beings spell, which appears in an unoccupied space within 30 feet of you and remains for 1 hour or until reduced to 0 hit points. Once you use this ability, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.

The connection with nature comes at a price, however. If you use the amulet’s protective barrier or summoning ability, you must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or become overwhelmed by the wild spirits for 1 minute, during which you are incapacitated and unable to take actions.
