This ethereal cloak shimmers like moonlight and feels cool to the touch. When worn, it allows the bearer to blend into their surroundings, as if shrouded by a soft, whispered mist. The fabric seems to hum with a gentle energy, occasionally producing soft echoes of distant conversations.
While wearing the cloak, the attuned gains the following benefits:

Veil of Silence: The bearer can cast the silence spell as a 2nd-level spell once per long rest, without expending a spell slot. This effect creates an area of silence, preventing any sound from emanating within it and allowing for stealthy movements or safe conversations.

Whispered Secrets: Once per short rest, the wearer can listen intently for hidden truths. By spending an action to concentrate and focus on a conversation within 60 feet, the wearer can make a Wisdom (Perception) check against a DC of 15. On a success, they gather useful information, such as grasping a secret or learning a key piece of mission-related information the speaker possesses.

Misty Escape: As a reaction, when the wearer is hit by an attack, they can dissolve into a misty veil, granting advantage on the next saving throw they make against being hit until the beginning of their next turn. This ability can be used once per long rest.
The aura of the cloak gives the wearer an enigmatic presence. They may find that friendly spirits and creatures with the ability to communicate telepathically are more inclined to offer assistance or insight, sensing an affinity to their ethereal nature. However, a lingering resonance of the cloak may also draw attention from beings that thrive on secrets, and some might seek to reclaim whispers thought lost.
