Reflective Presence. Any creature that starts its turn within 30 feet of the creature must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be filled with overwhelming doubt and may not take reactions until the start of its next turn. On a failure, the creature also takes 10 (3d6) psychic damage.
Actions
Multiattack. The creature makes two attacks: one with its Claw and one with its Grasp of Regret.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d10 + 3) slashing damage.
Grasp of Regret. Melee Spell Attack: +8 to hit, reach 30 ft. , one target. Hit: The target must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed until the end of its next turn and take 14 (4d6) necrotic damage. The creature can only use this ability if it was not destroyed on its last turn.
Drowning Whispers (Recharge 5-6). The creature emits a potent, clinging aura of dread in a 30-foot radius centered on itself. Each creature of the creature's choice within that radius must make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 36 (8d8) psychic damage and is frightened for 1 minute. A frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.
Rejuvenation. If the creature is destroyed, it can reform in its watery lair after 1 hour unless it has been permanently slain by effects like disintegrate or wish.
