A dark and ethereal being swirls in the shadows, its form a fluid amalgamation of darkness and light. This entity seems to be shaped from the reflections of its past, an indistinct visage featuring countless faces twisted in expressions of longing and sorrow. Colorless tendrils extend from its core, trailing like smoke, absorbing the warmth of its surroundings and chilling the air. It is said that to gaze upon this creature is to see the lost potential of oneself—what could have been if not for the paths taken. It revels in confusion and despair, feeding off the internal struggles of those who confront it.

Reflective Prowess. When a creature within 30 feet of the entity takes psychic damage, it can use its reaction to absorb half of that damage and convert it into temporary hit points for itself.
Ethereal Jaunt. As a bonus action, the entity can shift from the Material Plane to the Ethereal Plane, or vice versa. It reappears at the end of its turn in an unoccupied space it can see within 10 feet.
Actions
Multiattack. The entity makes two attacks with its Shadowstrike.
Shadowstrike. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 21 (4d8 + 4) necrotic damage. If the target is a creature, it must make a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened until the end of its next turn.
Echoing Whispers (Recharge 5-6). The entity targets up to three creatures it can see within 60 feet. Each target must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or take 27 (6d8) psychic damage and have disadvantage on their next attack roll or saving throw. On a success, a creature takes half damage and suffers no additional effects.
Mist of Reflection (Recharge 4-6). The entity releases a cloud of shadowy mist in a 30-foot radius around itself. Creatures within the area must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be blinded and have their movement halved until the end of their next turn. The mist lasts for 1 minute or until dispersed by a strong wind.
Legendary Actions
The entity can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The entity regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
