This ornate scepter is crafted from a silvery metal that shimmers like starlight, adorned with intricate patterns resembling constellations. At its apex, a large, opalescent gem glows softly, emitting a soothing light.
Upon attuning to the scepter, the wielder gains the ability to commune with celestial beings. Once per long rest, the wielder can cast Speak with Celestial as a ritual, which allows them to understand and communicate with certain celestial creatures, gaining insights and guidance on their quests.
Additionally, the scepter allows the user to invoke Radiant Shield once per day, creating a protective aura that grants temporary hit points equal to 2d8 + the wielder's spellcasting ability modifier. This aura lasts for 1 minute and can be used to absorb damage done to the wielder.
Lastly, the gentle whispers of celestial energy grant advantage on Wisdom saving throws while you are holding the scepter. However, be warned—using the scepter's abilities draws attention from the celestial realm. Once per week, the wielder may be visited by a celestial being, which may bestow a task or quest that hinders or enhances the wielder's journey. Fulfilling this task may yield boons, while neglecting it could bring unforeseen consequences.
If the wielder is not a benevolent being, the scepter may react unpredictably, granting disadvantage on certain rolls until the wielder proves their goodwill in the eyes of the celestial beings it channels.
