Horizon Shard of Ethereal Vision

This luminous shard reflects a spectrum of colors, flickering like the aurora across its surface. When held, your vision sharpens, allowing you to see beyond the mundane. The shard grants the attuned wielder the ability to see into the Ethereal Plane, allowing them to perceive invisible creatures and objects as though they were in the material realm.
While attuned, you gain 60 feet of darkvision, and if you already possess darkvision, it extends by an additional 30 feet. Once per long rest, you may activate the shard to cast the etherealness spell, allowing you to move through the Ethereal Plane for up to 10 minutes. However, you can't use the spell defensively; you must willingly enter the Ethereal Plane.
Additionally, once per long rest, as a reaction to being targeted by an attack, you can momentarily shift your form into the Ethereal Plane, becoming incorporeal until the start of your next turn. During this time, you cannot be targeted by attacks and spells, but you cannot affect the material world either.
The shard has a mysterious connection to the forces of fate. When you or an ally within 30 feet makes an attack roll, saving throw, or ability check, you may choose to expend a charge of the shard to add a d4 to the roll. The shard regains one expended charge at dawn.
Legends say that those who truly master the shard can unlock its deeper powers, revealing hidden paths to the planes beyond, should they prove worthy in their quests.
