This enchanting cloak shimmers with a dark iridescence, appearing almost translucent under bright light but strikingly vivid in shadow. Crafted from an unknown silky material, it seems to shift and twist around the wearer, adapting to their movements. While wearing the cloak, you gain the following benefits:

Shadow Meld: You have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made in dim light or darkness. In an area of complete darkness, you can use a bonus action to become invisible until the start of your next turn or until you attack or cast a spell.

Whispers of the Past: Once per day, you can cast the spell detect thoughts without expending a spell slot. When you use this ability, the cloak may also grant you insight into secrets within the immediate vicinity, allowing you to glean useful information, such as the number of creatures in the area or the presence of any hidden traps or doors.

Veil of Shadows: As a reaction when you are hit by an attack, you can cloak yourself in shadows, imposing disadvantage on the attack roll. If the attack misses, you gain temporary hit points equal to your level.
Curse: The cloak is imbued with the voices of long-lost souls. Occasionally, a whisper can be heard, promising knowledge or power. Each time the wearer attunes to the cloak, they must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or become haunted by these whispers, imposing disadvantage on Wisdom saving throws until they complete a long rest without the cloak.
