While attuned to this gauntlet, you gain the ability to cast the Message cantrip at will, allowing you to communicate secretly with allies. However, the true power lies in its primary ability. Once per long rest, as a bonus action, you can unleash a wave of echoes that draws upon the memories and voices of those who came before you.
Choose one enemy you can see within 60 feet. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, the target is surrounded by illusory echoes of their own fears and regrets, taking 3d8 psychic damage and becoming frightened until the end of their next turn. On a successful save, they take half damage and are not frightened.
Additionally, while wearing the gauntlet, you have advantage on saving throws against being frightened, as the whispers of the gauntlet fortify your resolve.
The gauntlet’s power is deeply tied to the shadows of the mind; thus, it is recommended to use it wisely, as it attracts the attention of creatures linked to psychic disturbances. Any time you unleash its echoing ability, roll a d20. On a roll of 1, the gauntlet vibrates uncontrollably, causing a surge of energy that forces you to make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of your next turn.
