Trait: Echoing Grief. When a creature starts its turn within 30 feet of the creature, they must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw, or they are incapacitated until the end of their next turn. If a creature is incapacitated this way, it can repeat the saving throw at the end of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Trait: Lamenting Call. As a bonus action, the creature can choose one target within 60 feet. The chosen target must succeed on a DC 16 Charisma saving throw or be cursed with tormented memories. The cursed creature has disadvantage on saving throws against being frightened, and it takes 10 (3d6) psychic damage at the start of each of its turns. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.

Actions

Multiattack. The creature makes two attacks with its Whispering Touch.

Whispering Touch. Melee Spell Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 18 (4d6 + 3) psychic damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of its next turn.

Aura of Melancholy (Recharge 5-6). The creature creates an ominous aura in a 30-foot radius centered on itself. Creatures in the aura must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or be incapacitated until the aura ends. The aura lasts for 1 minute, and affected creatures can repeat the saving throw at the end of their turns.

Rejuvenate (1/Day). If the creature is reduced to 0 hit points, it can immediately regain 40 hit points and re-emerge at the beginning of its next turn, still under the effects of the Echoing Grief trait. This re-emergence can occur only once each time the creature is defeated.
