Echoing Amulet of Aetherial Whisper

This delicate amulet is crafted from an ethereal blue crystal that seems to shimmer with an inner light. The pendant hangs on a fine silver chain, and it hums softly when held, as if it is alive with whispers from the beyond. When attuned, the wearer can tap into the echoes of voices long gone, granting them several unique abilities.

Aetherial Voice: As a bonus action, the wearer can activate the amulet to cast Speak with Dead (without requiring a corpse), once per long rest. The answers provided by the spirit are faint echoes, which might be vague or cryptic, but the wearer gains advantage on any ability checks made to interpret the responses.

Echo of Foresight: When the wearer would make an attack roll, saving throw, or ability check, they can use a reaction to add a d4 to the roll. This ability can be used a number of times equal to the wearer’s proficiency bonus, and regains all expended uses after a long rest.

Whispering Wards: The amulet protects the wearer from harm by channeling the whispers of the past. When the wearer takes damage from an attack, they can use their reaction to reduce that damage by rolling a number of d6s equal to their proficiency bonus. Each die rolled represents a fleeting wisp from the aether, which absorbs a portion of the attack's energy.

Echoing Insight: Once per long rest, the wearer may use an action to enter a trance for one minute, gaining advantage on all Wisdom (Insight) checks and Intelligence (Investigation) checks during that time. Any successful checks made using this ability reveal echoes of the past, revealing clues or hints about hidden secrets within 30 feet.
While the wearer is attuned to the amulet, they begin to hear faint whispers echoing in their thoughts, occasionally guiding them or offering advice in critical moments. However, the incessant murmurs may also distract them; once per long rest, if the wearer fails a skill check, they can roll a d6 and suffer psychic damage equal to the result to gain advantage on the re-roll of that skill check.
This item is not just a tool for gaining power; it also serves as a conduit to the history and memories of the world, urging its bearer to ponder what lies beyond life and death.
