This beautifully embroidered cloak shimmers in dark hues, as though woven from threads of night itself. When worn, it adjusts to blend seamlessly with the surroundings, granting the wearer an aura of shadow. The mysteries it harbors are deep, and those who drape it over their shoulders can harness its potent abilities.
While attuned to this cloak, you gain advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made in dim light or darkness. The cloak grants you a +1 bonus to Armor Class while you are wearing it, as the shadows seem to absorb incoming strikes.
Additionally, once per short rest, you can use your reaction to become one with the shadows. Until the start of your next turn, you become invisible, and you can move through the shadows as if they were difficult terrain. Attacks against you during this time have disadvantage, and you can remain invisible even while attacking or casting spells.
As a final boon, the cloak allows you to whisper a single phrase into the fabric. Once per day, you can invoke this power to communicate a brief message (up to twenty-five words) to a creature you can see within 100 feet. The message is delivered through the cloak, which briefly takes on a misty form that echoes the words seamlessly to the intended target.
The wearer of this cloak may find themselves at the heart of schemes and secrets, a true agent of the unseen. However, they must also tread carefully, for the whispers carried by the shadows often attract the attention of those who prefer their secrets kept buried.
