Cloak of Twilight's Embrace
Wondrous Item (Cloak), rare (requires attunement)
This dark, ethereal cloak glimmers as if woven from the twilight sky, shifting colors between deep indigo and velvety black. When worn, it seems to merge with the shadows, allowing its bearer to feel a profound connection to the veil between light and darkness.
While wearing this cloak, you gain advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made in dim light or darkness. Additionally, once per long rest, you can invoke the cloak’s power to become incorporeal for a brief moment. When activated, you can move through creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain for up to 30 feet. You can end this effect as a bonus action or if you end your turn inside an object, causing you to take 1d10 force damage as you are expelled to the nearest unoccupied space.
Furthermore, anyone who attempts to attack you while you are in dim light or darkness must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or have their attack roll reduced by 1d4. If they are already engaged in combat, they must still make the saving throw, potentially becoming distracted long enough for you to evade their blow.
Lastly, if you reduce a creature to 0 hit points while wearing this cloak, the shadows around you seem to deepen for a moment, granting you temporary hit points equal to your level. These temporary hit points last until the end of your next long rest.
The cloak embodies the delicate balance between light and shadow, offering both stealth and survival. Those who wear it may find themselves drawn into the secrets of twilight, uncovering mysteries hidden from the light of day.
