This ethereal cloak shimmers like the night sky, embroidered with intricate patterns that resemble constellations. When worn, it feels weightless and cool to the touch. The cloak grants the wearer a sense of serenity and connection to the cosmos, instilling confidence in their every action.
While wearing this cloak, you gain advantage on all Wisdom (Perception) checks made in dim light or darkness. Additionally, if you are targeted by a spell or attack, you can use your reaction to swirl the cloak around you, creating a veil of starlit mist. Until the start of your next turn, you have resistance to psychic damage and can impose disadvantage on the attack roll or spellcasting check made against you. Once you use this ability, you cannot use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Moreover, the cloak holds a special affinity for the stars. When you are in an area of starlight—such as outside on a clear night—you may cast augury once per long rest without expending a spell slot. In addition, you can use your action to draw forth a glimmering starlight from the cloak, creating a dancing lights effect for up to one hour. The lights can be any color you choose and can also be used to form constellations that convey messages to your allies.
Lastly, each night you wear the cloak, you may choose to gain inspiration from the night sky. Once per long rest, you can roll an additional d6 when making an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, adding that number to the roll. This reflects your ability to tap into the wisdom of the cosmos, guiding your actions under the celestial canopy.
