Chalice of Unbound Feasts

Wondrous Item (Chalice), rare (requires attunement)

This ornate chalice is crafted from a glimmering metal that seems to change color depending on the light. Intricate engravings of feasting creatures and harvests adorn its surface, and a faint warmth radiates from within. When held, it feels surprisingly light, yet it contains a magic that defies the laws of reality.

Once per day, a creature that has attuned to the chalice can invoke its magic as an action. When activated, the chalice fills with a lavish feast tailored to the desires and preferences of those present. The feast can serve up to six creatures, providing sufficient food to sustain them for a day. Consuming a meal from the chalice restores 1d6 + 2 hit points and bolsters the eater's spirits, granting them advantage on their next saving throw against being frightened or charmed.

If the chalice is used to provide a meal to a creature that has been reduced to 0 hit points within the last hour, that creature immediately regains consciousness with 1 hit point and is invigorated, gaining temporary hit points equal to the creature’s level, which last for one hour.

However, this wondrous item comes with a caveat. After using its ability, the chalice must remain empty for one lunar cycle (about 28 days) before it can regain its magical properties. Furthermore, any creature consuming from it must share a bond of trust; failure to do so results in the chalice inducing a mild curse, causing the eater to experience vivid nightmares for one night.

The chalice also has a unique feature—at the DM's discretion, once per long rest, if a creature drinks from it while expressly intending to focus on cooperative goals or camaraderie, colorful ethereal wisps of food spirits may emanate from the chalice, granting all participants a +2 bonus to their next attack roll made within the hour.

This radiant chalice is a wondrous addition to any adventuring party, encouraging both strategic use of healing in battle and fostering cooperation among allies.
