Crafted from a shimmering piece of a fallen star, this translucent sigil glows with a soft, ethereal light. Intricate symbols of constellations and swirling cosmic patterns dance across its surface, hinting at the profound knowledge contained within. While attuned to the sigil, you gain the ability to perceive the unseen threads of fate, granting you enhancements to your mental acuity and foresight.
Once per long rest, when you make an ability check, attack roll, or saving throw, you may choose to roll an additional d4 and add the number rolled to your total. You may choose to roll this die after seeing the result of your roll but before the outcome is determined.
Additionally, the sigil allows you to cast the augury spell as a ritual without expending a spell slot. As your connection to the celestial powers strengthens, you sometimes hear whispers of guidance from the aether, which can manifest as a challenge. When you use this ability, roll a d20; on a roll of 1, you inadvertently open a temporary rift to an unknown part of the cosmos, summoning an aberration (DM's choice) that remains for one minute before vanishing.
While holding the sigil, you can also use your action to emit a protective aura. For 1 minute, any creature of your choice within 30 feet receives a +1 bonus to AC and saving throws. This ability can be used once per long rest.
However, the sigil is not without its challenges. The power of celestial insight comes at a cost; you must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw whenever you use its abilities. On a failed save, you become vulnerable to psychic damage until the end of your next turn and are temporarily blinded by the overwhelming influx of cosmic knowledge.
