Crafted from a shimmering celestial crystal, this compass glows with a faint ethereal light and is encased in an intricate silver frame. The needle points unwaveringly toward the direction of the user's deepest desire or destiny, but it carries an added, enigmatic power—one that connects the thoughts and visions of those attuned to it.
While attuned to this item, you and up to three willing allies within 30 feet of you can share visions as if you were in a dream-like state. As a bonus action, you can activate this shared vision feature, allowing everyone involved to experience a scene from the future or a memory that helps guide your actions. Each participant must make a DC 15 Intelligence saving throw; on a success, they gain insight, allowing them to add a d6 to their next ability check, attack roll, or saving throw made before the end of their next turn. On a failure, they are disoriented and must subtract a d6 from their next roll of that kind instead.
Additionally, once per long rest, you can invoke the compass's potential to locate an object, creature, or destination that is either familiar to you or described to you in detail. When you do, you receive a vision of the location, granting you advantage on any checks made to find it during your next exploration or investigation.
The compass, however, is not without its dangers. Those who misuse its powers may experience backlash from the shared visions, resulting in unsettling nightmares that impose a disadvantage on Wisdom saving throws until the next long rest.
